Along with the Xiaomi 14, Xiaomi has also announced its new HyperOS operating system. Now a leak shows which phones will receive an update to this.
It was one of the big surprises at the presentation of the Xiaomi 14: the Chinese manufacturer is retiring its familiar MIUI user interface and replacing it with a fresh system called HyperOS. However, according to the XiaomiUI website, this is essentially based on Android 14 and will therefore also be available as an update on older Xiaomi phones.
According to the usually well-informed fan site, the following 9 models are initially scheduled for an update to HyperOS:
These models will be the first to receive the HyperOS update
- Xiaomi 13
- Xiaomi 13 Pro
- Xiaomi 13 Ultra
- Xiaomi 13T
- Xiaomi 13T Pro
- Xiaomi 12T
- Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 (only available in China)
- Xiaomi Pad 6
- Xiaomi Pad 6 Max (only available in China)
The updates are to be released in the first quarter of 2024, not only in China but worldwide. This was announced by Xiaomi founder Lei Jun on X (formerly Twitter).
It remains to be seen whether other models will receive an update to HyperOS. According to XiaomiUI, there are already test versions for the Xiaomi 12T Pro and the Xiaomi 11T.
