New features of Android 15
Unfortunately, there is no information about new features in Android 15, and the rumors are also limited. At least we know that the codename of the software is ”Vanilla Ice Cream” and that it thus joins the ranks of Google’s dessert updates. Android 14, for example, is called ”Upside Down Cake” ” Android 13 is fondly referred to as the ”Tiramisu update”.
When will Android 15 be released?
If Google stays true to its previous schedule regarding Android updates, the first developer previews and betas for the OS update will appear in spring 2024. A release can then be expected between late summer and fall. Google likes to release the new software in combination with a Pixel smartphone.
