A new expansion will soon be available in Mortal Kombat 1. This hint indicates that a very specific feature could be missing.
- The Kombat Pack will be available in Mortal Kombat 1 from November 9th.
- This expansion is to be released without skins for the new characters.
- Past DLCs have often offered alternative appearances.
Omni-Man from Invincible will be playable in Mortal Kombat 1 from November 9th. This new character will be available to all players who either own the Premium Edition of the game or have purchased the Kombat Pack separately.
If you have already watched the trailer, you may have noticed a difference to previous DLC characters. As some fans have reported on Reddit, there is no mention of alternative skins in the video.
In past DLC trailers, the development team has usually presented options for new skins towards the end of the video. This meant that fans could look forward to equipping the various characters with new appearances in advance.
At the end of the trailer for Omni-Man, however, there are no references to additional skins. Netherrrealm Studios only mentions the characters available in the Kombat Pack. As a result, some fans are now speculating that this Kombat Pack could possibly be released without any skins for the new characters.
Feedback from the development studio
An official confirmation from NetherRealm Studios and WB Games is still pending. Nevertheless, given the developer studio’s usual approach, the lack of an announcement could be an indirect confirmation of the absence of alternative skins.
